Garam Masala

Garam masala is a spice blend widely used in Indian cuisine, from curries and lentil dishes. Whole spices of cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, nutmeg, and ginger are toasted in a pan to release their aromatic flavours, then ground to a powder.
